Dr. Wen Rong is a MedTech professional specializing in medical robotics, medical devices, and AI-driven healthcare solutions. Passionate about “technical handcrafting,” he enjoys creating gadgets, building solutions with new technologies, and solving problems with fresh ideas. During his PhD, he developed one of the first prototypes of a vision-guided surgical robot for RFA, integrating diagnosis, planning, navigation, and robotic execution. Beyond robotics, he co-invented a patented assistive device that helps healthcare professionals perform procedures more efficiently with reduced complexity.

With years of experience collaborating with companies across various industries, he has built expertise in smart systems, AI modeling, and software development, successfully leading multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions. He also actively mentors MedTech students at NUS and NTU in Singapore.

Outside of work, he is an enthusiast of visual art and football.
